Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
On arrival you will be picked up from the airport by our representative and
escorted to hotel for check-in. Before lunch Introductions and briefing. Visit
to Museum to have an introduction with India's history, sculpture and crafts.
Optional: Before dinner lecture on the history of Delhi and
its monuments.
Day 02 : Delhi
Visit to monuments of pre-Mughal age - Qutab Minar* and Humayun's Tomb*. In
Evening go for the shopping or visit the mega city at your own.
Day 03 : Delhi - Agra
In the first Half of the day visit to Old Delhi - the fortified city of the
Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, Red Fort and Jama Masjid. After lunch depart for Agra
by road.
Day 04 : Agra
Embark upon exploring Taj Mahal* by sunrise. Later breakfast and then optional
talk on the monuments of Agra. Visit to Agra Fort*. In evening go for the shopping
in Agra. Have hearty Dinner at restaurant.
Day 05 : Agra
Drive to Fatehpur Sikri* - the deserted capital of Emperor Akbar the great and
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary a haven for migratory birds.
Day 06 : Agra - Gwalior
Board the train for Gwalior. On arrival visit the palace of the very old and
magnificent hill Fort containing some of the few undamaged Hindu buildings that
stay alive during the Muslim era as Man Singh's Palace. Overnight stay in hotel
at Gwalior.
Day 07 : Gwalior - Khajuraho
Visits the highly artistic and erotic temple town of Khajuraho. On the way stop
at Rajput palace of Govind Mahal at Datia.
Day 08 : Khajuraho
Morning speech on Architecture of Hindu Temple (Optional). Visit to Khajuraho
Temples* for beautiful sculptures. Have rickshaw ride and walks in the narrow
lanes.
Day 09 : Khajuraho - Orcha
In the Morning make a trip to Panna National Park (optional). Take your breakfast
at Panna and further leave for Orcha. At Orcha visit Rajput palaces and temples
of late 16th and 17th century AD.
Day 10 : Orcha - Bhopal
Board the train from Jhansi to Bhopal. On arrival at Bhopal visit the Museum
of Man. In the late afternoon visit the Jama Masjid to catch the glimpses of
the examples of the then architecture.
Day 11 : Bhopal - Jalgaon
In the Morning you can take part in an optional talk on Buddhist Architecture.
Drive by road to visit Sanchi Stupa* and Buddhist caves at Vidisha. Board the
Overnight train (Bhopal to Jalgaon).
Day 12 : Jalgaon - Ajanta - Aurangabad
On the early morning, arrive at Jalgoan. Make a trip to Ajanta. Go for the sightseeing
of the eminent 6th century Buddhist excavations and frescoes of Ajanta Caves*.
In the late afternoon drive to reach Aurangabad.
Day 13 : Aurangabad - Mumbai
Make a morning trip to Ellora Caves* (6th-7th century Buddhist caves). Also
Visit Bibi-ka-Maqbara on the way. In the late afternoon board the flight for
Mumbai.
Day 14: Mumbai - departure
On arrival Transfer to Mumbai International airport for journey to
back home.
