Nuruchan- Gyama Barma - Gyamar - Korzok -Leh
Day 1: Leh
Arrive at the Leh airport from where you shall be assisted by our representative
and escort you to the hotel. Grab some rest after a tiring journey. Overnight
stay will be at the hotel.
Day 2: Leh
After breakfast we shall drive to visit some of the famous monasteries of
Ladakh like Thiksay, Shey, Hemis and Stok Palace. Pack lunch will be served.
Arrive at the hotel in the evening.
Day 3: Leh- Rumtse- Kyamar
Early morning, we shall depart from Leh and drive toward Rumtse and start
strolling from Rumtse to Kyamar. Overnight stay will be at Kyamar
Day 4: Kyamar - Tisaling
After breakfast, we shall begin our journey with gradual ascent towards Kamur
La (4800 m), which gives a spectacular view of the Changthang range. From
the pass, we descend down. Here we might come across nomads with their
herds. We then climb towards Mandalchan La (4850 m) and then easy slide
down to campsite of Tisaling
.
Day : 5 Tisaling – Ponganabu
The third pass is Shibuk La (4900 m). From the top of the pass, we have an
incredible view of the surrounding mountains and Tsokar Lake. It’s approximately
a 4 hrs walk to the Tsokar Lake. Overnight stay will be at Ponganagu.
Day : 6 Ponganagu – Nuruchan
We follow the jeep road towards Tsokar Lake. Along the salty shores of the
lake, we have the opportunity to see some of the endangered migratory birds
of the world. We walk straight to the right of the lake, until we reach Nuruchan.
Day : 7 Nuruchan- Gyama Barma
After breakfast we shall continue our tour and gradually ascends towards Horlam
Kongka La (4900 m). From the pass an easy descends to Rajungkaru, we will have
the opportunity to encounter several Tibetan nomad settlers. We will continue
to ascend towards Kyamayuru La (5410 m). From the pass we descend gradually
to the valley towards our campsite at Gyamar Barma (5150 m). Night temperature
can be freezing due to high altitude campsite.
Day : 8 Gyama Barma – Gyamar
After breakfast, we head to our next pass, Kartse La (5300 m). We then slowly
ascending towards Gyamar la and enjoy beautiful views of snow-capped mountains.
The trail descends down towards the valley of Gyamar.
Day : 9 Gyamar – Korzok
After breakfast we shall ascend towards the highest pas Yalung Nyaulung
La (5450m). From the pass we have beautiful view of Tsomoriri Lake. We stroll
down to the Korzok Phu, the summer pasture of the Korzok people and then
to Korzok (Tsomoriri lake) Overnight at Tsomoriri Lake.
Day : 10 Korzok – Leh
After having breakfast we explore Korzok Village and then driven back to
Leh.
Day 11
In morning we shall drive to leh airport for return journey.
