Dung Chan La-Chilling
Day:1 Leh
Arrive at the Leh airport from where you shall be assisted by our representative
and escort you to the hotel. Grab some rest after a tiring journey. Overnight
stay will be at the hotel.
Day:2 Leh ss
After breakfast, we shall drive to visit some of the famous monasteries of
Ladakh like Thiksay, Shey, Hemis and Stok Palace. Pack lunch will be served.
Arrive at the hotel in the evening and spend some quality leisure time. Overnight
stay will be at the hotel.
Day : 3 Leh- Lamayuru
We drive from Leh in the morning towards lamayuru through sham valley.
We also visit Alchi and Liker monastery on the way. On reaching Lamayuru we
visit the famous 11-century Lamayuru monastery and explore beautiful landscape
around the village. Overnight shall be spent in the camp at Lamayuru
Day : 4 Lamayuru- Wanla
At the beginning of trek there is gradual walk up to Prinkiti La (3750m). Excellent
view of Zanskar Mountains from top and some descends will take you to village
Wanla. Overnight stay will be in Wanla.
Day : 5 Base of Lasermo- North base via Lasermola
After breakfast we have to walk along the river on metallic road for an hour
to Reach Fanjila, (3400m). Further continue stroll along the houses for an
hour and then follow down to the river and a pleasant walk to reach Hinju village.
Day : 6 Hinju-Sumda Chenmo
From Hinju we have to walk up to the valley until we reach Konski La (4950m).
From the pass you have beautiful panoramic views of snow-capped mountains of
Zanskar range and also the view all the back to the Prinkiti La. From the pass
trail descends steep before reaching to village Sumda Chenmo.
Day : 7 Sumda Chenmo-Dung Dung Chan La
The trail follows the river as it curves around to the east. The path is little
hard, as we have to follow the trail through the vegetation of sea buckthorn,
willows, and rose. After that we have to walk steep ascend and beautiful view
leads up to base of Dun dung La.
Day : 8 Base Dung Dung Chan La- Chilling
Today we have to follow the trail up to Dung Dung La (4900m) and offers beautiful
views of Zanskar Range to the south and Stok Range to the east. The trail then
descends from the pass leads to village chilling which is famous for producing
some of the best metal work in ladakh. From chilling we will drive back to
Leh by car.
Day 9:
After breakfast you shall be transferred to Leh airport to return journey with
unforgettable memories of Ladakh.
