Day 01 / Cochin - Periyar
Welcome to Cochin. Arrive Cochin meet assist by our tour executive then proceed
for Periyar. On arrival transfer to hotel. Night stay in Periyar.
Day 02 / Periyar
After leisurely breakfast in hotel, proceed for boat cruise on Lake Periyar
to explore wildlife sanctuary featuring Indian elephants, Barking Deers, Indian
Wild Dogs, Pythons and King Cobras. Periyar - Moist deciduous fauna, flat and
hilly terrain, a delightful lake and rich wildlife makes Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
a hot favorite amongst the nature livers. A protected tiger reserve and a national
park, Periyar is basically an elephant's paradise. Leopards, Wild Dogs, Barking
Deers, Nilgiri Langurs (a primate), Bonnet Macaquea, Tigers, Nilgiri Tahrs and
Flying Lizard and Flying Snake steal the limelight. Later drive to Kumarakom.
Transfer to hotel, night stay in hotel.
Day 03 / Kumarakom
After leisurely breakfast in hotel. Day free to relax, for leisure activities
and explore the city. Night stay in hotel.
Day 04 / Alleppey
Cruise in Kettuvallams or old rice-barges through Azhikkal Canal passing through
Kuppapuram, Pallathuruthy, Swamy Canal, Meenappally Kayal, Muttael Canal,
Kainakary Church Canal, Vatta Kayal, Venattukadu Canal, Aakkathara Canal and
paddy fields. Night stay in Chithira Kayal.
Day 05 / Cochin
After leisurely breakfast, proceed for cruise through small villages of Chennamakery,
Kainakary, Pallathuruthy and Kuppapuram to reach Alleppey finish point jetty
at 1000 hrs. Later drive to Cochin. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Afternoon
proceed for sightseeing tour of Cochin including St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz
Basilica, Chinese fishing nets and Jewish Synagogue. Cochin - The port city
of Cochin is also known as 'Queen of the Arabian Sea'. There is Dutch Palace
at Mattancherry and the very famous Fort Cochin, which is renowned for its Portuguese
heritage and has early 16th century St. Francis' Church. Spice is at its best
in area surrounding Jewish Synagogue while there are carved wooden panels and
pulpit at Santa Cruz Basilica. Chinese fishing nets are popular among the tourists
as a rare old-world trade form while Parishath Thampuram Museum houses 19th-century
paintings, old coins, sculptures and temple models. Night stay in Cochin.
Day 06 / Cochin
After relaxed breakfast transfer to Cochin airport to board flight for onward
destination or way back to home.
