Day 1: Delhi:
Arrive Delhi, where our representative shall escort you. Take some rest at
the hotel and later we shall leave on a half-day excursion to New Delhi. That
will include a visit to India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan (President house), if
time permits we can also visit the Humayun tomb and Qutub Minar. Overnight
stay will be at the hotel.
Day 2-3: Delhi – Bikaner
We shall depart for Bikaner via train, o n arrival we shall check in to a hotel
for overnight stay. Bikaner is also known as the camel country as it houses
the Asia’s biggest camel farm and is equally famous for its thrilling
camel safari. The salt snacks better known, as Bikaner bhujiya is also one
of the specialties of this place along with the famous handicraft and leather
articles. Later morning we shall depart to visit the Junagarh fort, the flamboyant
havelis of Bikaner, Laxmi Niwas temple, a magnificent piece of Indo- saracenic
architecture. Later move on to the legendary Deshnok Temple. Overnight stay
will be at the hotel.
Day 4-5: Bikaner - Jaisalmer
After arriving Jaisalmer, check into the hotel and later leave for a day excursion
of the city of Jaisalmer also known as the golden city for its several mud
fortress and walled township made of yellow sandstone. The desert festival
that displays the popular Kalbelia dances and folk songs and music is a major
attraction. Following day after breakfast proceed for the city tour of Jaisalmer,
visit the historically rich local castle with Nathumal Ji ki Haveli, Patwon
ki Haveli and later in the afternoon an exciting camel safari is arranged which
leads up to the sunset point. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 6: Jaisalmer - Barmer - Jalore
Early morning depart from Jaisalmer to Jalore, en route visit to Barmer, that
is a part of the Great Indian Desert and a land famous for its folk music,
plethora of woodcarving, embroidery, block printings, and other illuminating
handicrafts. Arrive at Jalore, check into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7-8 : Jalore – Jodhpur
Early morning after a sumptuous breakfast, we shall explore the city of Jalore
and visit the famous Jalore fort that was once used by the Rathore rulers of
Jodhpur to safe- keep their treasure. Jalore has a rich cultural and folk history.
Breakfast. Following day we shall leave for Jodhpur also known as the blue
city situated in the Thar Desert. On the way one can visit the Osian Village,
a centre of Hindu and Jain temples. Later visit the Mandore Garden. Later visit
the Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and the fascinating Umaid Bhawan Palace
and later witness the spectacle of the Beshnoi Village. Overnight stay will
be at the hotel.
Day 9-10: Jodhpur – Udaipur. Via Ranakpur
After breakfast we shall leave for Udaipur, the city of lakes
in Rajasthan. On the way en route visit to Ranakpur, which is famed for its
impressive Jain Temples and Sun Temple. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Following day continue the Udaipur tour including a visit to Eklingji and Nathdwara
Temples, Lake Palace, City Palace and Jag Mandir IslandOvernight stay will
be at the hotel.
Day-11: Udaipur - Ahmedabad
After breakfast drive to Amhedabad, the capital city of Gujarat. On arrival
in to the hotel. Later we shall visit the Calico Museum (closed on Wednesday),
Headband is situated on the banks of Sabarmati River and has a flourishing
textile industry earning Ahmedabad the title of “ Manchester of the East.” A
collection of such wholeness is displayed in the Calico Museum. Later we shall
visit the Swaminarayan temple and the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar, on
way back en route visit to the Adalaj Step well. Later visit Hateesingh Jain
Temple and Rani Rupvati’s mosque. Also visit the ashram of Mahatma Gandhi-
an oasis of calm and tranquility. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day-12: Ahmedabad – Bhavnagar
Early morning we shall depart from Ahmedabad and drive towards Bhavnagar en
route visit to the Lothal, an important archeological site that was once abode
the ancient city of Indus Valley Civilization dating back to 2400 BCE. In the
afternoon arrive at Bhavnagar, the land of the Suryavanshi Gohil Rajputs, Bhavnagar
served as an essential port for marine trade until Surat and Cammbay emerged
as prominent one in Gujarat. Bhavnagar is also known as the cultural capital
of Swarashtra the first all vegetarians Pizza Hut in the world was opened in
Ahmedabad. Overnight stay will be at the Hotel.
Day13-14: Bhavnagar - Diu
After breakfast we shall drive to Diu en route visit to Palitana,
which is a major pilgrimage centre of jains. There are more than 1300 temples
located on the Shatrunjaya hills. Later drive to Diu a island that is separated
with a tidal creek from the mainland. Diu is famous for Fortress and Portuguese
cathedrals. Nagoa beach and ancient temples are also a major tourist attraction.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day-15: Diu - Gir – Diu
Early morning we shall depart for Sasanhir Lion Sanctuary in the Gir forests,
and take a jeep safari thereon. Gir spreads in an total area of 1412 km sq.
Some rare species including the Asiatic Lion can be only found in the forests
of Gir. The great Indian bustard in bird reserve, the world’s only four
horned antelope, and the aqua specie the Dugong are some unique feature of
Gujarat
wildlife. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 16-17: Diu – Junagadh
After breakfast drive to Junagadh, and on the way visit the Somnath Temple
and then continue to Junagadh for rest. At arrival, check in to the hotel in
Junagadh for overnight stay.
Following day after breakfast proceed to visit the historical town of Junagarh
and also the travel destinations of the order of Mahabat Maqbara, Darbar Hall
Museum, Ashokan Edicts, Uparkot Fort and Girnar Hills. Overnight stay will
be at the hotel.
Day-18: Junagadh - Wankaner
After breakfast depart for Wankaner, en- route visit to Rajkot town.
At arrival check in to a hotel in Wankaner for overnight stay.
Day 19-21: Wankaner - Bhuj
After breakfast we shall drive towards Bhuj, famous for handicraft and major
attraction for artist and craftsmen who aspire to learn more about Kutchi embroidery.
Later enjoy a Full day excursion to the Banny villages to see various typical
villages to see the traditional art. In the evening visit to the Bhuj city
and market. Overnight stay will be at the Hotel. Following day visit the Rann
of Kutch region. The third day we shall visit the Sarad Bagh Palace, Swaminarayan
Temple, Prag Mahal, Kutch Museum, and other related monuments in Bhuj in Gujarat.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day-22: Bhuj - Mumbai
Morning after breakfast, transfer to Bhuj airport to take flight to Mumbai.
On arrival at Mumbai airport transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
You shall have a day rest of the day is free for leisure activities.
Day-23: Mumbai – Departure.
After breakfast proceed to visit the interesting sites in Mumbai like
the Gateway of India,Musuem, Haji Ali, Victorian buildings. Evening have your
farewell dinner in hotel restaurant, followed by transfer to Mumbai International
airport to take your flight back home.
